Service Dog Tasks

What is a service dog task?

A trained activity is performed by a service dog to assist its handler with a disability. These tasks are intended to directly alleviate and reduce the effects of the handler's disability, helping them function more independently in daily life. Service dogs undergo training to carry out these tasks reliably and safely.

At Medi-dogs, we provide many different task training depending on the team!

Some examples are:

Medical Alerts

Do you have a medical condition that impacts your daily life? A medical alert service dog could alert you to an episode long before your medical devices can. Dogs can be trained to alert to blood sugar lows and highs, POTS, MCAS, and seizures.

Gluten & Allergen Detection
